Phoenix Wright... overrated?

Am I the only one that thinks Phoenix Wright is quite overrated? I'm playing it at the moment and there's really not much game to it. It's like a minorly interactive graphic novel. Solving the puzzles is cryptic at best and seems to boil down to selecting each option in turn until you find the right one.

Anyone else find this? Am I some sort of Japanese anime game heretic for suggesting such a thing?

PS Forget I posted this when I sell the game in the MM. Thank you!

The gameplay is basically that of classic point & click adventure games with a twist. That's a genre which has gone from mainstream to niche in the past decade. As a result, quality games of the type are few & far between.
If you don't like that style of gameplay, then no, that's not a crime you just don't like it (I hate stealth play & brown military shooters).
That said, don't be mean ;) - adventure games fans don't get many quality titles nowaday's - let us enjoy them.

Playing through it right now and I'm loving it :D

I guess its more of an interactive book than a game, but i couldn't care less.

Remind me of the days of point & click adventure games. :)
