i have been having a lot of problems with my phoneline for the past few months, i have more details in this thread and explains what i have tried. i made a note that sometimes the phone cuts the internet connection off but when it reconnects; if the phone is still being used, it will be a fairly decent connection, i've dont some testing and when the phone is in use the line attenuation to the exchange drops around 3db, say from 52 to 49. I notices that it also made a difference to the Noise Margin, that is anywhere between 11 and 26 but when the phone is engaged this drops down to around 7, a lot closer to that what is needed for ADSL Max.
