phone line problem really slow internet

ok as of the 16th my internet connection has gotten really really slow
connection around 1500kps, phoned titan adsl they say theres a problem with my hardware, don't know whats up or what could be wrong
i have to run a telephone extention to the main bt socket it was all working fine until the 16th any1 got any ideas what it could be phoned bt they said the same thing there is a fault but apartly its to do with my hardware
 
Could be due to using a telephone extension.

You're internet connection can grind down when using these. Is the extension certified for ADSL or is it just a bog standard extension?

Even using an ADSL ceritified extension can cripple your speeds. I recently remove mine and got a 100% increase in speed.
 
The best connection is to have a filtered faceplate on the master socket and to run a direct line to ones router from that - (a filtered face plate such as the competitor Faceplate)
