Has anyone tried out many of these security apps?

I've got seekdroid on my phone at the moment, but it doesn't seem to locate my phone that quickly, even though I've got full signal with gps on.

I use Blackberry protect and it works perfectly fine...i get a gps lock in about 10 secs or so. It also backups up all my data into a cloud so should i lose my phone i have a backup of my stuff...gives me a loud ringtone if i misplace my phone and the best part is that it allows me to nuke my phone if i lose it or gets stolen.

Are there any alternatives to blackberry protect ? i find very slow and flakey most times it doest locate the phone :(

I use avast on my android phone. It seems good, but I admit that I've not tested the locate function yet.

using cerberus on my S3 and it is indeed very good , i still cant find a decent one for my daughters blackberry though :(
