Hi guys,

I have recently moved into a new house and have set up my internet with BT and im having difficulty in connecting my hub up without having wires all over the place.

Basically I have a double phone socket line (the one with a master phone socket above another (openreach branded)) and I need to connect my smart hub to that for me to get internet, unfortunately however there are no power sockets near the sockets other than in the kitchen behind the hallway. Im currently running the cable through the doorway to get it to work basically, its crap and the wife is going nuts.

Any ideas on how I can get this sorted?

The previous owners had BT infinty also and they have an ADSL filter box in the kitchen with its connector dangling by the phone sockets, I can use that to then plug the phone into the kitchen and the filter so that works fine but the smart hub will only work if I put it directly into the master socket. What do I do? Is there some sort of connection I need to buy or something?

Thanks in advance!

Apologies if this doesn't make a huge deal of sense!

Remove the faceplate, then remove top prefiltered section. Replace bottom faceplate. Et viola. The other telephone socket now works for broadband.

Cheers, that did the trick!

I will have to replace the face with something a little more aesthetically pleasing but it is now working without the wires being all over the place.

Thanks for the speedy response.
