I'm well aware of the admin fee, i've had to deal with them before and it's partly why i will never ever EVER! recommend them again or buy from them.

All the same i do have a faulty card that someone i know would really benefit from if i can get it replaced.

I'll pay the fee, get it changed (this one is clearly faulty- and dead) and i'll simply charge them the admin fee for the card.

Beats chucking it in the bin........

Next time i buy new i'll be sticking to a brand with a better RMA system even if it means paying £20 more.... truly appauling customer support..... and i'm far from the first or last...

Sapphire RMAs procedure is handled by a company called EQS Ltd here in the UK, Oxfordshire to be precise, but this is only in the second year, first year with place of purchase.

Send me an email and i'll be happy to froward the contact details :)

Why not post the info here mate?...... might be of some help to anyone else needing to contact them to.

I remember last time i was looking into the RMA they contracted out to EQS, but couldnt remember the name nor had the patience to going trawling the web to find the info needed.

Card is over a year old, just...

I had the same problem with a Mobo.... Raised a ticket 6 times before they contacted me back about an RMA. Then they refered me to another company that deals with there Rma's they wanted a Returns/Admin fee...

Absolute crap customer service and support - i threw the Mobo in the bin, rather that pay those leaches more money.

Would never ever recommend Sapphire to anyone.

Replacing a faulty product these days seems like a far cry from the days of my youth where I'd drive for 15 minutes to the shop I bought it from, get a new one out of stock and drive home. :(

I bought a sapphire x1950 pro agp and it is the biggest load of crap going due to the fact it is faulty. I will never buy from them again.

How long are the sapphire warranty's? 1 or 2 years?

If I bought a Sapphire card and it broke in the first year could I still get it exchanged at the etailer instead of sending it to sapphire?

Its not that simple I am going to return my card here and I have to wait god knows how long for it to be tested and then they might even say there is nothing wrong with it. If so I have to pay to get my card back !

Next time I may buy from the high street as at least you can swap with no hassle and minimal down time.

when ive sent stuff back to OC, there usualy tested and a decission made the day they recieve it (you get emails to confirm each step). I always include a detailed description of the fault and tests ive done to try and rectify it (without doing anything to lose warrenty cover). whether this skips the test process or not i dont know, but it shows i dont want that particular card back due to effects listed ;)

youll also know very quickly if they are sending a card from stock or sending back to manufacture.

not a complete happy story however as the wait was 5 weeks for getting replacment card (but at least it was new board revision by then which has been faultless).

I RMA'ed my Sapphire X800 Pro around 18 months ago, it was OEM and I had no proof of purchase as I bought it off ebay so I was quite happy to pay the admin charges due to not expecting any warranty on the card at all.
