My BT master socket is in the garage. Last April I wired in an extension to our front room with a secondary master socket put into the wall with a ADSL filter faceplate. This has been fine and dandy since then but yesterday my router failed to connect. I have tried my Homehub and that was the same. Took faceplate off secondary socket and plugged into master and still no luck. Connected my router to the socket in the garage with faceplate on and bam. Internet access no problem on both my primary Netgear DG834GT and my Homehub 2.
My question is my house phone is connected to the extension and that is perfectly fine yet my broadband doesn't want to know?
