Phone unlocking software ?

Hi , just wondering if anyone knows the names of any software that can unlock mobile phones to work on any network ?

I bought a Motorola Razr v3 off my mate as a back-up/work phone but it will only let me use a virgin sim card in it.

Id like to unlock it myself so it works on orange.

Any ideas?

Well I managed to do it myself for free. Had to downgrade the firmware , flash it with the recommended firmware for unlocking , then unlock it using moto-unlocker 2005.

Im chuffed never done anything like that before and it works perfectly , at least with 02 and orange sims (the only ones ive tried so far.
