The matte edition screen protector comes well protected in nice card packaging.
Included is a small screen cleaning cloth and a plastic applicator card. Not forgetting of course the maoam sweets I received in my evelope:)

Printed on the inside of the packaging are application instructions.

Where this screen protector stands out is that it is semi-rigid in nature. This has some benefits in that it will not bend easily and become damaged by re-applications. Air bubbles are very easily encouraged to leave and finally it gives great peace of mind to know that your screen is well protected. It just feels orders of magnitude better in quality compared to the freebies you get with cases OR the 50p type of shields.

The matte edition doesn't affect screen viewing quality either. Side by side clarity was identical to my housemates iphone.
However you will now have significantly less glare and annoying reflections to deal with.
In terms of tactile feel, you no longer get that horrid, clean glass 'sticking' sensation when using your finger to navigate. Instead you have a consistent 'fine satin' touch to the phone that is great for text entry or gaming, in all the sensitivity of the screen is unaffected.
Another bonus is that I can no longer see a fine scratch I had on the glass of my phone.

In terms of application its very straight forward and requires no water. As mentioned airbubbles are easily encouraged out and the overall precision of the cut of the shield is very good.

If you mess up application you can lift it up and try again. If you get dust stuck to the shield you can gently wash under the tap and failing that sellotape is safe to use to remove dust from the sticky side of the shield.

As with all screen protectors dust and lint is your biggest enemy. Apply it in the least dusty zone in your house or you can try running a hot shower in your bathroom and applying it in a humid atmosphere to keep dust at bay, just don't keep the phone there too long! Apart from one tiny speck of dust (my fault not phonedevils) my screen protector is uniformly flush and stuck down to the glass of the iphone, yielding a satisfying result.

Now I am more confident to let people play on my iphone which invariably happens!

In closing, dealing with this company has been exceptional, I had problems with lost post and was rapidly dispatched another product so buy in confidence and protect your expensive phone for a fiver!

My phone is on the left with the screen protector on, housemates 3G on the right sans protector, both screens wiped clean with microfibre cloth

Thanks:)
My only additional comment is that one amazon reviewer thought it made white screens more 'granulated'
I guess if I stop and stare white is 'less white' compared to another phone, but really once you split them apart and go about your life you don't notice. The phone screen is less like a 'glossy pool' now, but all said and done IMO the pros out weigh the cons.
Phonedevil also do a completely transparent version, a mirrored one and 'privacy' edition which may be more to an individuals preference.

Looks good, I'm trying to order one now and once I get directed back to their site from Paypal it just sits there doing nothing. I've tried in both Firefox and Safari.

Ho hum.

Is this any better than the ones the Apple shop sells - from my research it was still one of the best matte screen protectors...

ps3ud0

Got it, it came with two Haribo chew sweets as well. All fitted, dead easy and it feels really nice.

3t3P, that's two things you've posted about that I've bought :D

haha what was the other thing?! 5970?:D
you liking the feel of it too thats good, you got it on with no bubbles or dirt?

I've now been using the clear version, it is much better.

The matte one was in fact degrading image quality by around 15% i'd say.
