Hi there, I'm looking at web development for mobile phone platforms.

I am calling out for your help as many of you will already know the answers to this. I'm looking at testing the pages on the most popular OS's, and of course a range of screen sizes. With the huge number of phones available and the huge number of different OS ( if you include versions also ), this is a massive task.
So, I looked into the most popular mobile OS, and found.

- Symbian
- iPhone OS
- Windows Mobile
- Android
- RIM ( Research In Motion - Blackberry )

( list not in order ).
Anyway, so.. Then I went to look up reasonable versions to test with, of course, there are a huge number of iphone iOS revisions, and a huge number of Symbian revisions ( dating back ).

I picked out some, but need to know what actual devices use these versions, then.. I will have to set up emulators for each. I already have android, blackberry and iPhone / iPad environments set up.

So, even if it's just one or two, please can you tell me what devices use any of the following:

Symbian
V6.0
V7.0
V8.0
V9.5 ( latest )
RIM ( Blackberry )
4.5
5
6
iPhone OS ( yes, I do know what phones use this haha )
4
3
2
Windows Mobile
Windows Phone 7
Windows phone 6
Windows phone 5
Windows Mobile 2003
Android
1.5
1.6
2
2.2

Thanks!

Windows phone 6 (.1)
HTC Touch Diamond
Windows phone 6 (.5)
HTC Touch Pro 2 HTC Touch 2, HTC HD/2, SE Xperia X1,

Android 1.5
HTC Hero, HTC Magic, HTC Saphire, T-Mobile (G1?)/G2
Android 1.6
HTC Tattoo, SE X10, Dell Streak
Android 2
HTC Hero
Android 2.1 / 2.2 (most current Android phones)

Symbian
V6.0
V7.0
V8.0
V9.5 ( latest )

Things are a bit on complicated on Symbian. Older versions of Symbian use something called "S60" (written by Nokia) as the UI.

So, if you're looking for devices to test on, I would choose...

S60 v3.0 (Symbian v9.1) - Nokia N95 (released 4+ years ago now, I doubt you'll want to go back any further)
S60 v3.1 (Symbian v9.2) - Nokia E71
S60 v3.2 (Symbian v9.3) - Nokia E72
S60 v5.0 (Symbian v9.4) - Nokia N97
Symbian^3 - Nokia N8

For Android, you can probably get away with using the generic SDK. Same with Windows Mobile.
