phones sd memory probs

As title the phone uses micro sd and it is 1gb if I put it in the sd adapter my computer see's it no probs, I put a 2 gb in phone and it works but my computer can not see it in the adapter while in the card reader, any help appreciated ( I did format the 2gb card while it was in the phone)

Can the PC see it at all, or just not read the data? If the later, try reformatting in the PC.
