i have a problem

i have a phono splitter one goes to my stero and then thge other runs the tv the stereo one is a 1.5 to the tv is a 15m cable, and when i put it on the tv there is a horrid humming sound ? can anyone give me any adive is it the length of the cable that is the problem is so can i amplify the power or somehting like that ?

Use a quality shielded cable, might be a good idea to use a double shielded cable.
Remember this is a low voltage audio signal that is being run in the cable and the input circuits at the other end will be sensitive enough to pick up noise that is radiated through the cable.
