Is there a program that can allow external users view photos on your machine? ie: They type a URL in and then your machine serves out the pages to allow them to browse your pics?

You'd have to have a server for this I think. Plus unless you have a special broadband line your broadband line isn't suitable for this.

Hmmm... You can definately get cheap old NAS boxes that offer this functionality, so I don't see why you can't get an application to sit on a PC (which is far more powerful) to do the same?

Why not just use Google Picasa, you can upload 1gig of photos to their website for free (more storage is available at cost).

Well you'd need a cheap old NAS box then. ;)

But the broadband would still be wrong? Your line will have a very limited upload rate no?

Just done it!!!!

Downloaded IfunPix... Installed it... Pointed it to my 'pictures'... Done!!!

Anyone with a browser can now view the photos on my machine by typing in a single URL :)

Seems to work a treat!!

EDIT - I believe it's actually just keeping the data on a remote database (server) in sync with yours. So it's not actually hosted by your machine... Seems good though :) You can if you want though host everything from your machine... It even does videos :)
