photo app questions

Hi

How can I tell if my imac is storing photos locally, I have settings such as download originals to this mac enabled in preferences. If they were not stored locally would there be a little cloud icon next to each photo?

Also is it possible to sync smart photo albums, I tried creating one but it did not sync to my ipad, seems a bit odd if not?

ignore first question I found the answer.

Just the syncing of smart folders?

Also if I delete a photo will it remove it from my iCloud storage and all my other devices?

I use iCloud photo library on all my apple devices. I want to be sure iCloud does not keep copy of anything I delete so I can keep track of my available iCloud storage.
