Can anyone recommend any photo blogging software? I tried using Wordpress but I really am not happy with the results.

I don't want any text/posting at all really, other than something that will host pictures in a full browser window type post, one after another (based ideally chronologically on the exif date) ideally on a single page, rather than posts on individual page.

The main goal is for me to be able to host it myself, webserver or database type isn't important as long as I can host it on Windows Server.

I could go down the route of writing my own but if there's something out there already..

If you simply Child porn?

Anyway, you can just set the photos to be private in flickr and only share with friends.

Not entirely sure what you meant to say here, but no obviously its not child porn.

Besides Flickr doesn't really achieve what I want; which is a single page with full screen post style photos a la Wordpress (but not Wordpress because I can't seem to achieve it).

I have no issues creating a Fullscreen (well, within the browser window, but you can make that full screen). There is an arrow to expand the photo to full-screen, can can then cycle through the photos.

Is it for you to use or for others? Sounds more like you might want a digital asset management system. Something like Resource space might do the trick, though there is no easy way to then output files as various sizes for linking to forums and whatnot.
