Photo duplication search app?

I have imported all of my old folders of pics into the new Photos app and many are duplicated as i have a thing about backing up.

Can anyone recommend a good search app that will look through and sort duplicates.

Do apps that do this look for similar numbers or some other way?

I've had the same happened to me, I've ended up deleting my Photos library and am now slowly weeding out manually my Aperture library.
Tried a few apps over the years for duplicates in Aperture but none have been any good at all.

Yes I see in your other thread Allo,pain in the backside isn't it,I've just spent a good 2 hours deleting manually when I should have been in the garden enjoying the sunshine

23,000 being uploaded on this library and its been at it since morning and only just now can i see the time bar has a bit of green in it,taking forever,beginning to wish i hadn't bothered,got them backed up on another drive but like the cloud idea,only get 500gig at the mo but for £2.99 a month its a good deal i think
