Photo galleries..

Hi,

I would like to display a wide range of photos on my website but dont know the best "free" way to go about doing this?

Previously I have seen people using "simple view finder" Is this free? Do I just write the code into the html file if I wanted to use simple view finder?

As its my first time doing this, all help and assitance would be most appreciated indeed...

Alternatively is simple view finder is not adequate could you kindly recommend something that is?

Coppermine gallery is some nice PHP software.

You'll need to make sure your hosting has MySQL & PHP before you go for it though.

unfortunately my hosting company doesnt have php or mysql servers

thats why i thought id ask about simpleview finder as I have seen the software u suggested in this section...

is simple viewfinder flash? how does it work etc etc

any tutorials or info would be most appreciated...

simpleviewer is flash, so you just upload it with pictures and it's there.

another you shuold look at is Jalbum .... it produces html albums.

No PHP?

Hopefully they'd have ASP instead...but I don't know any ASP albums.

I'd go for Simpleviewer - Google it, I'm sure the instructions are on their site (would help more but am a cripple in a rush

)

i googled simple view finder and found it very easy to use and you can have it up and running in about 5 mins...
