I've built a website through weebly. I'm a novice so have used a template provided by them and all their coding.

Problem is the gallery i've used to showcase my photos doesn't autosize the vertical images to fit the page (the horizontal ones are fine) so they don't fit the screen when viewing the site using smaller screen resolutions, say on a lap top.

Can anyone suggest any free gallery / slide show software for my site that autosizes the pics correctly for different screen resolutions?

being in the process of building a site myself, i can say the wordpress system works well. I too am a complete novice when it comes to web design, even setting up the hosting was a new learning experience.

with wordpress there are Plugins such as lightbox that give great flick through galleries e.g. click first pic on here... http://aw-photography.com/lissi

I'm such a novice and underestimated this wordpress stuff, it's way over my head...

It there any code for a customisable slide show i can just chuck on my site?

watch some youtube tutorials and you'll be up and running very quickly on wordpress. i was in the same boat as you (have never coded anything!!) and am now pretty familiar with it. Once you are in the standard wordpress admin panel, most actions are click buttons.
