Photo Hosting service?

I'm looking for a site where I can just host some holiday snaps I took and then send a link to a private folder to friends.

I used to use photobox.com and have used it but this now then requires the recipients to register themselves. They also then dont get the full sized pictures unless they buy the picture.

Any good recommendations for a site I can upload a job lot of pictures in one go, add my own descriptions and easily share with friends?

Yeah just looked at that but you can only upload 100mb per month for free and I need about 4 times that. Photobox was good but for some reason you can longer share anything but a small version.

you need more than 100meg a month? you will struggle to find anyone for free then to be honest....flickr pro account is only about £12 - £13 a year, you could consider that. Otherwise with your bandwidth and space requirements I reckon you're out of luck for a free account anywhere

Ok thanks, its not that I need that much a month just for one month alone. Upload my holiday pictures and then likely wont upload much for the rest of the year.

Probably the easiest thing for me to do then is make a gash photobox account and upload my pictures that I want to share. Then just give out the log in details so people can rip off the high res pictures they want.

Probably. Getting cheap webhosting is another option. Then you can put up what you want, when you want, so that everyone / or no-body can see it.
