Guys i need help.

Just came back from Egypt with over 2500 photos and a few videos from my GoPro.
Put everything on a brand new hard drive and deleted the photos from the cards (3 cards-2 cameras-GoPro)
Went to plug the hard drive in a few weeks ago and it started beeping.

Long story short, the hard drive went to Seagate under warranty and they couldn’t retrieve anything from the hard drive.

What’s a good software to try and retrieve photos and videos from the cards ?

The GoPro and main dslr cards haven’t been used since we came back, the pocket camera has had one photo taken.

Done mind paying for the software if it’s good.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated guys.

When you say that Seagate couldn't retrieve anything, what did they try to do

Does the disk work ok now ?

They tried to get the data/photos of the hard drive at their Holland factory.

Got a email yesterday saying they can’t retrieve it.

Oops

If Seagate can't do it I think you might be struggling

Maybe try some software that offers a free trial which would generally limit the amount of files you can recover and/or the recovery method but would give you an idea if it can find anything and what the conditions of the files are

I was after some software to try to retrieve the photos from the memory cards and not the hard drive as they have destroyed it apparently and sending me a new hard drive.

I’ve looked at data recovery companies and got a quote for £550 but I don’t think they can retrieve the photos from the hard drive if it has failed 100%.

You would be surprised at what can be recovered, if you're willing to spend the money, even to the point of putting the platters form the HDD in a new mechanism and reading from that. Very expensive as has to be done in a clean room.

Agree with Recuva as a good tool if it's for your cards
