just having a go at repairing some phots for my grandmar this was the original

and this is what i have so far

i am using paint shop pro 9

just wondering if their is anything in your opinion i can do to make it better

i aint massivly fluent with psp9 so explanations on howto would be nice, i did it all using the clone brush

thanx

It looks fine to me. The only improvement I would have made would be to straighten it before cropping it.

edit: desaturated and adjusted the levels, then added a sepia tone to it. Looks a little more lively, IMO.

i think the photo was taken with the camera slightly tilted to one side, might account for the lop sidedness.

thanks for the add desaturated looks better, i was playing with that but couldnt quite get it right probly down to inexperiance lol

my grandmar is over the moon saved her £20 i was gobsmacked it costs that much for photo repair

makes me wanna start advertising for photo repair in the paper

I'd be interested in how you went about doing all of that. getting rid of the folds and splits in the paper. The cropping, rotating I could about do!

just used my imagination on the bits that wernt their, how i thaught they would look, copying his eye then mirroring it then blending it into place to make the missing, copying the leg on the bottom left hut from the middle one and slightly changing it so it didnt look repetative. my dad tells me i am naturaly gifted with art just i never do it

not bad for a first attempt but the only thing i know howto use is the clone brush and selection tools, dont know saturation stuff yet

the bits that are missing on the orignal scan from the top right/bottom left arnt folds they had been ripped off and were missing so i recreated them from other parts of the picture
