Photo sharing sites

Hey,

Just looking for some more photo sharing sites.

I know there is flickr, photobucket, 500px and Deviantart but any others out there I am missing?

Mainly looking for model ones, got a few friends asking for shoots but they are "alternative girls" so looking for something a little different

Ah yes the ever present ugly girl who's decided to cover that up by saying she's "alt", bane of my life haha.

Actually, I know the sort you are talking about...but most blokes wouldn't say no to these two lol

Modelmayhem just about does the job if you've got a port that's strong enough to differentiate yourself from the countless 50 year old pervs with a compact. You get some good models and some awful ones through there but before long you get a good idea of who's going to be reliable; generally those that are in a similar situation as you and so want the shoots to go ahead as much as you do.

Agencies also work but without a portfolio I'd imagine it's increasingly difficult to convince them to let their models test with you.

Sites you mentioned like deviantart but also tumblr, facebook, and other sites with significant female user bases I've found can be surprisingly good for getting models, but you have to have a pretty huge following on them to get approached and particularly on tumblr you will probably have to alter your style if it's not girl-friendy, and on deviantart you'll need to be prepared to spend hours submitting to groups etc. at the start just to get your work noticed.

Thanks I'll have a look through tumblr and see what's on there. I'm personally not looking for getting in to this type of photography full time, it's just for the girls to get their portfolio's updated and for me to get a little more experience. I'm more of a typical studio and wedding tog
