Photo Storage in the field

Hey all,

Basically I have a holiday coming up in 8 weeks and I need a way to remove pics from the CF card and hold them on some storage media. As taking a laptop, whilst not impossible will be a pain in the ass.

Any ideas guys?

how many CF cards do you have and what capacity? Is there no chance of buying a couple of spares so you have excess storage? Think when i was in vegas I totaled 3 full cards but still had a couple of spares. I did shoot a lot but reviewed some in the evening and deleted but generally kept things till i got back home.

How long are you away for anyway? Cos that was only a weeks holiday for me.

You can get on the go HDD with a card reader case which lets you download on to it. but will cost from £100 - £500

So as said get a few CF cards

Easiest way is just more cards, think before taking a photo to avoid wasting space, then reviewing in the evening to remove obvious failures.
This should suffice unless you short sport for 8 hours a day every day when on holiday.

However, having an external device to back up the cards to is useful. I'm hoping I can find a solution with my android phone.
