Looks like it is now IT's responsibility, so we need two new ones - except I have nfi what to do. Are they sold in show rooms so you can test out their claims of '50ppm' etc?

And recommendations of anywhere in the North west or even brands which are good and bad? Have a Konica Minolta at the moment and other then being noisy it's been relatively reliable.

Any help appreciated :D

Approach some of the dealers and ask them what they can give you based on a lease type deal. They usually charge you per page but you get toner, paper(sometimes) maintenance etc included.

They all seem to be more multifunction based now which scan, print, email, photocopy etc, just get them to give you some demo units and see what you get on with.

We have a contract with Technocopy in Darlington. I believe we pay them per month for 2 machines and they come round once every 2 weeks to maintain the copier and we get toners supplied as part of the deal.

See if you need an Olivetti d-Color MF2000. Colour copy and scan to PDFs etc. That's the new machine we want :)

(Technocopy are only based up north though)

We have 6 copiers in total leased and supported through a Canon partner based in Hull, and three are small MFD's, one is a 20ppm MFD, one is a 30ppm colour machine that does everything, and a 72ppm workhorse. I would recommend Canon everytime as they are reliable, easy to set up and do everything we need.

Depends if you want to buy them or lease them though.

we lease our toshiba
maintenance is very good
its IT responsibility but we only call them up as an when
its an old model but includes all the stuff you realistically need
toshiba estudio 3510c series
i think we pay £100 a month for lease+service+toner&disposal

Don't go to a showroom, get them to come to you and demo it. You need to weigh up buying it vs. leasing it - an average price for a good one is about £15k list.

With that out the way, get a Xerox 5655.

Thanks for the advice, got a few brands lined up to give us a demo and work out what we need (what they make lots of mone on;))
