Photographers in Stockport!

I'm heading to Stockport for 3 days at the beginning of September (1st > 3rd) for work. I'm working 9-5 so will need to find something to do between 5 and 10PM ish.

Are there any photographers who fancy meeting up for a few hours in the evening?

Peak District National Park?

Great - I'll be working through to 5-5:30, but would love to meet some fellow photographers. I've checked google maps and my hotel is only 30 mins from the Peak District.

I've never visited before, would it be worth it?

What do you like to photograph? I live about 8 miles from Stockport in the Peak District if you want any pointers to places.

Landscape & Macro mainly, but for the Peak District, I'd be looking at landscape and water

Maybe visit Castleton then, amazing scenery, go down into the blue john caverns, para gliders and some fantastic reservoir scent close by.
I live right where they film 'the village' on BBC 1 for an indication of the scenery

At those times of night you'll struggle for macro but landscapes you'll have plenty of choices provided your tog buddy has transport. Peak district, werneth low, marple locks, hartshead pike etc.

How so? Yes its getting darker earlier but nothing that a flash wont sort out

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check it out. I've not seen The Village, may have to give it a quick viewing

As above, not really looking to do macro work on these 3 days, will be focussing on landscape.
