Photographers rights

There's an interesting article in the guardian today about photographers being hastled under the guise of anti-terrorism activity. http://www.guardian.co.uk/terrorism/story/0,,1763729,00.html About half way down the article is a link to a pdf which contains information about your legal rights as a photographer... (sorry if this has already been posted!)

Apparently the guys who wander around in Canary Wharf hate tripods for some reason according to a security gaurd I was talking to. People kept bothering me and it started to get annoying having to explain myself to every single person I camew across but I got what I needed an it's made an interesting piece in my project.

Well speak of the devil. I got escorted out of a car park of all places because it was apparently owned by the Police and blah blah anti-terrorism blah blah. Apparently there's a whole bunch of government buildings around Princess Dock in Liverpool so photographers will be shot on sight. I told the guy I wouldn't have done anything if they had adequately labeled the area. There was nothing to say it was a government area. There was a side entrance that anyone could just walk through. When I went into the car park it had a list of rules none of which said no photography. Silly country.

Was at an under 12s football match on Wednesday and heard a team manager tell a parent that they could not take any photos of the match unless they had permission from ALL the parents under "The Child Protection Legislation" .
