A thought struck me earlier today. We have a really good stickied thread with loads of information about Photography, but we don't seem to have one for links to useful photographic software (correct me if I'm wrong).
There are lots of programs out there, obviously some are commercial software such as Photoshop, Lightwave, Aperture and Paint Shop Pro, but what about the freely available programs.
