Hi All!
I've found out that after getting an image how I want it on my screen it doesn't look the same across devices.
Camera is set to the Adobe RGB colour space, Lightroom is the default settings, monitor is an old (non-ips type).

What settings are you using for a standard workflow?
Camera -> LR -> Web
Camera -> LR -> Printer

Will an modern IPS monitor help? I'm on the search for recommendations:

Any help is appreciated, Cheers!

Thanks for the advice.

To be clear the camera is set to RAW + JPEG (Adobe RGB) from the recommendations I read on the web so I should get 14-bit? RAW data + 10-bit? in JPEG's. I'm using lightroom so only the RAW file gets used anyway. If that's right and the default software settings are fine is just comes down to getting the right monitor while I'm upgrading.

The main reason I'm after the monitor is because the one I'm using is outdated and while I'm replacing it I might as well get one that'll do the job properly for years to come :)

Should I just be looking for accurate display of the sRGB colour space? with 99% coverage? Ignoring even the capability to display Adobe RGB?

Good link...an sRGB workflow does seem simplest, since I'm using Lightroom and RAW I think the only difference is going to be the external editing setting for photoshop. Might as well change the JPEG setting on the camera to sRGB too but I rarely use them direct from the camera. Does that about correct the workflow? What about old JPEG's already in the adobe RGB colour space?

Still need a monitor capable of display sRGB this time round :)

What monitor are you using?

Good job you had a spare! :p Does it do the job?

I've been going through some of the VERY in-depth reviews. Made it through the U2413, U2412M, U2713HM so far, each with pros and cons...difficult choice!

It would be nice to see what people are using in the real world :)
