Photos at night in a room and with natural light

Probably the most stupid question postulated in this forum, but was wondering if someone could enlighten me.

Basically when I take a photo in my room at night it looks far warmer and more pleasant than in daylight.

Is it possible to emulate this in daylight or will I have to wait til night.

I'm only using a Nexus 4 camera, so I'm guessing I'll be limited? I've got a D5100 somewhere at home, but that's a fair distance away!

In the end I waited til night time

though I am going to investigate further as I do enjoy lots of peoples photography on here.
