I've got a bit of a dilema with regards to putting photos of products into my new website.
We used to use a basic digital camera and take the pictures ourselves.

Since we are getting a new site we then decided to get a photographer who charged us £25 per hour and they are very good, however we are now thinking of paying about £100 for a small lighting studio from ebay and even possibly getting our own decent camera.

It would be much more convinient for us to take them ourselves but do you think we could get them upto a reasonable quality ourselves?

I'll post a picture of old and new pictures.
Also what do you think of the standard of the pictures on the old website to the new ones?

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.

What I've decided to do is get another big batch done at the photographers, once he's set up he can rattle loads of products off in a couple of hours, this should cover virtually every product we make.

I'll then get a lighting tent and we can do the pictures as and when, make a new soap loaf and have it pictured and selling on the website on the same day.
