Photoshop - adding watermark

A mate has just emailed me , he has a black and white picture that he wants to add as a watermark on some headed paper

I know nothing at all bout photoshop but , of course , I am not going to admit that to him

does anyone know how to do this ?

Word can make a watermark from a picture. Alternatively you could just drop the opacity on the image (in the layers section I think) within photoshop.
