when cropping an image, obviuosly you can just use the resize canvas to do a precise pixel crop, but its positioning is limited, the other option is to crop with the crop tool, and to get an exact size you seem to need to be very steady with your mouse...

however i noticed at the top when in crop mode you can enter a size... could someone explain this to me cuz what i expect just doesnt happen, i though if i then clicked on the image i would get a crop box of the specified size for me to move to where i want, but it seems really fiddly and certainly doesnt do this?

any ideas?

Putting in a width and height acts like a crop and resize. It crops to the boundary you draw, then resizes to the dimensions you give.

oh ok, so theres no way to do a specific size crop where you want it without using the crop tool and dragging the box specificially to the size?

EDIT, just found that you can make a specific size selection, so that'd do the trick with the image -> crop command :)
