Photoshop Beginner

Am pretty much a beginner using photoshop and i have a bit of free time on my hands. Would like to get a good understanding in how to use it before i go to uni next year. What is the best tutorial to use or need i buy somehting

We had workshops at uni every week which were very useful, I also downloaded free video training modules from 3dbuzz.com(just sign up), very good too.

Best way to learn is to follow tutorials.

It'll get you used to layers and the various tools to paint and select.

It will be worth you while heading over to HTML, Graphics & Programming there is loads of talented people in there and there is some very good stickies which should get you going too.

just go through the starter modules for each tool / feature, and the basics

i could do with doing this myself, i can do what i need to, but i know i'm only using about 2% of what it can do !
