Currently on offer for £83 for a years subscription, is this a good deal? Starting a new venture that will have an image heavy website.

Yeah it's a good deal, normally it's 8.50 a month.

Nope, full versions. For existing users it is worth going to cancel to see if you can get a 60 days free use cancel save before your monthly billing continues. Worked for me recently.

I went with the deal but having the same issue as other where lightroom becomes unresponsive after 20-30mins

Skylake 6400 with 16gb ram. Graphics card is only a ati hd6950 tho

Seems like a better spec than my MacBook maybe a windows thing?

I'm running 2.7Ghz i5 with 16MB Ram and Intel Iris 6100... The only other spec is 256GB SSD not sure if that would make much difference though, never had it unresponsive before :confused:

Try disable hardware acceleration in the preferences and see if that helps. If it does, try upgrade/downgrade your graphic drivers.

I run PS & Lightroom perfectly on my 1st gen work laptop i7 with 16GB RAM & SSD and my home 2600k and 16GB RAM + SSD.

There are some memory leak problems with the latest version of LR. Closing it down and re-opening will work, but so does minimising it to the task bar for 15-20 seconds which is quicker than a reboot. As mentioned above, try disabling GPU acceleration as it slows things down if you are editing a batch of photos and moving quickly between them.

I have the same subscription, runs flawlessly on my W10 laptop. I think Lightroom needs 16GB RAM and an SSD for best performance.

I'll try it one day this week. It is installed in a ssd drive, it doesn't become sluggish I just get the 'this program is not responding' at the top of the window
