Introduction

I've decided to do this without first asking for interest. Previous competitions have been the result of conflicting views, opinions and suggestions which ultimately led to their gruesome and disgusting eDeath.

Anyone is allowed to enter the competition providing you meet the rules stated below. These will not be altered. The competition theme will be decided upon and choosen by me every Sunday at 9pm, China time. That's Sunday at 1pm for you guys back home in the UK.

Rules

Size: A4, down-scaled to 640x906 for forum posting.
Software: Photoshop
Theme: Movie Poster

Theme: Movie Poster

The theme Movie Poster is self-explanitory, with the exception of one small but important and, in my opinion, interesting detail. The poster you create must be for a sequel or prequel to a movie that does not currently have any such real-life plans. You can also design for a completely new concept of a movie, if you wish.

For example, you can't do a sequel poster for The Bourne Supremacy or Spiderman 2, as there are already plans for these movies. The whole concept of this competition is to be unique and restore interest and imagination in a film which may or may not need it. But to do so on your own terms, with no real-life motivation for it.

Competition

All entries will be submitted to a new thread where I will ask the moderators to post a poll, in General Discussion. The aim of the competition is to use your imagination to raise interest and gain votes. This isn't just about art. If you post a masterpiece for 'Toy Soldiers IV'... chances are, people won't be interested because, simply, the movie sucks.

You need artistic and marketting skill here, not just l33t Photoshop Skillz. This provides more oppertunity and more variation to simply designing using current design standards.

Submitted Entries Deadline

Sunday 29th October. 1pm UK Time.

This is the discussion thread. Please discuss ideas, information or ask for help here. If you wish to participate simply post your entry before the deadline and let everyone know in here. If you wish. The entries thread will be created a few days before the competition ends.

Image Hosting

If you need somewhere to upload and host your image for the competition, simply use the following website which will prove you with the appropriate code for posting on the forum:

ImageShack

If this site does not work or is not reliable for you, post in here and I'm sure somebody will be able to help you out.

Last of all, good luck.
