I offerd to judge but seemed everyone wanted phate to judge since he started it which is fair enough.

Can you decline the judging position as a winner if you want to enter the next round?

Yeah, i recon so.

If the winner is not available to judge the next round he or she can nominate a judge.

That should also cover people who are not available to judge due to wanting to enter the next round.

I don't think it should be used just so you can enter - you should still not be able to enter the next round - otherwise people who do agree to judge are at a disadvantage to people who pass the buck and then enter and win the next round.

Totally agree.
Without this rule , the comp. will become almost impossible for the lesser mortals ( Me ! ) to have any chance. And the experts to walk it each time.

If you win one , you can't enter the next.

I'm happy to see this going in a nice, orderly direction now.

I really didn't like the way it was handled last time; it put me off quite a bit. I wish to enter the next competition and I'll be happy to be nominated as a judge for the one after.

Yeah, I think last time we were just testing the water a bit. Certainly will be cool if we can get this to be successfull and get more people joining in. Might even be worth putting a post in GD, to attract some more people.

You commented on the last comp. and I posted , in return , implying " the reason you didn't enter was that you couldn't be bothered , rather than it was handled amatuerly".

I think on that day i argued with everyone i spoke to.
