Hi All

Having problems with PS CS2 - I have an image, I want to replace a colour in this image. The image is orange (RGB 246,130,31) with very little variation (just at the edges, which are anti-aliased). I want to replace the orange in the image with an aqua / turquoise colour (RGB 79,164,165), but whether I use the colour replacement brush, or the adjustments -> replace colour option, even though the target colour is correct, when the replacement takes place the end result gives me a different colour - for example, using the colour replacement adjustment to replace (246,130,31) with (79,164,145) gives me the end result of a green with RGB of (75,174,153).

Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong (as I could swear I've done this before, but it worked!).

Tried this in all modes with no success (RBG, Index, CKMY etc).

Sorry if the explanation isn't clear.

TIA

Si

Might be a daft way of doing it, but can you just select all the colour you want to change, delete it, and paint the other colour on a layer below it?

Possible but it would take quite a while - there is a design within the icon which is quite complex. :(
