Photoshop CS2 Help

Hi, I am trying to cut people out of pictures to put them all together on another background of my choice and i also want to layer text over the top of them, Is there anyway that is easy to remove a person from a picture in photoshop CS2?

there is it involves using mask layers , it would take a very long post to do it

my best advice is to get hold of a copy of the dummies guide that will explain it bettern than I can

If the person stands out from the background try the magnetic lasso tool or draw round them with the pen tool then just copy and paste them into new pic or just drag over.

I'm quite new to photoshop but I use the extract tool. Go to filter/extract then draw round the picture and then use the fill tool on the inside of the drawing and it should just select the object or person.

Quick Mask:

Press Q
Paint in all the areas that you want to cut out
Press Q
Press Shift+Ctrl+I
Press Ctrl+J

The item/s you wanted cut out should now be on a new layer.
