I am currently in the process of redisgning my website using photoshop to come up with the draft design etc.

My problem is though that I seem to have changed a setting within PS and I cannot figure out how to get it back to default.

I'm trying to create a box with rounded edges to place content into, so I have used the Rectangluar Marquee Tool and set feather to 10px to round the edges. Then when I go to Stroke and apply as 2px inside the box I get a faint airbrush effect line instead of a solid one???

It's becoming quite frustrating as it's really holding me up now - so any advice would be very, very much appreciated.

Thanks.

PS - I can provide pics of problem if needed!

Can't you just go back to Select | Feather and drop it back down to 0 px? Or set it on the toolbar. Wherever you put the feather. Feather is meant to blur edges and make them transition smoothly.

I think you want to use your Rounded Rectangle Tool to do what you want.

Yeah that was it... strange as I had set the feather back to 0px previousley but it was still doing it!!!

Used the Rounded Rectangle Tool instead - I thought I knew photoshop pretty well, but I never even knew it was there tbh - :o
