Photoshop CS3 - Wrong colours when saving for web?

Hi

If anyone knows, could they explain why whenever I save an image in Adobe Photoshop CS3 using "Save for Web & Devices" it drains the colour from them?

I'm trying to save the logo for a website, and whenever I try to save it the preview window instantly drains the colour from the image, they appear less brighter, and more of a grey shade than what I originally chose

Its not making the colours "web safe" is it? ...with only 249 shades to choose from

Will have a look around on the web for this, as i don't want Photoshop choosing my logo colour for me

ah ... just figured it out

what you need to do is first convert the colour profile to sRGB, in order for it to show up the same on all monitors, then you need click the > arrow at the top right of the 'Save for Web & Devices' preview window and select "Use Document Color Profile" ... the image will then change to its actual colour
