Photoshop CS5 Portable

I was given a copy of Photoshop CS5 Portable around a year ago which I bunged on my laptop, now I have a decent PC I want to move it to the computer.

I have tried to move it via USB, it moved fine but wouldn't load CS5. I've tried to load it onto a external HDD and same issue, found it ok but wouldn't boot up.

Not sure what the next step is other than to buy CS6 which I'd rather avoid as CS5 works fine for me but the laptop is about to die.

Surely by the name Photoshop CS5 portable means it does not install, just runs from a USB stick or disc maybe ? I have only seen such apps and never used them.

I bet Adobe never made their software to be "portable"

I just did a quick Google and found a few sites to get it from, maybe you could find a new version to grab.

As for buying Photoshop, If I am right in my thinking you can't actually buy their software anymore. It has all gone CC and you have to pay monthly for it.
Quite a clever move to stop the pirates.
