Hi folks,

Just upgraded to CS5 and the new way of handling files/tabs is drivnig me nuts. I moved from CS3 so its all alien to me.

For instance I open a file and I have my toolbars at the top in view:

cs5-1.jpg

But as soon as I maximise the document it takes over the full screen:

cs5-2.jpg

Is there a way to revert it to the way it was in CS2/3 as I far preferred that way of working.

Cheers :)

this change happened in CS4 and I HATE IT WITH A PASSION. It makes working with multiple docs a PITA.

Unfortunately there's no way to turn it off. However, you can dock the tabs at the top of the MDI - just drag the tab to the top of the workspace and you should see a blue bounding box appear. Drop it there and it'll dock. It's not great, but it's the best you can do.
