Hi there,

I am trying to create a kind of decaying border around the edge of this template, and also on the inside box (currently transparent, when finished it will be black and/or contain images). Any idea how to do this? The technique has escaped me!

I know the box isn't centred on the image, I will be redoing the whole thing.

Thanks in advance

Edit:

An example I have come across - a gig poster

This what you want?

I did it in GIMP by making a selection with the rectangle select tool, go to select>distort and hit OK. Fill it with colour and do the same for the inner bit, but press delete instead of filling it.

I remember seeing a tutorial somewhere using an image of aged paper with the quick selection tool and refine edge to create a mask.
