I'd say go for it...BUT make you you buy decent quality, hub centric spacers....myself I'd not want to go too wide with spacers, just not too keen on them, can't really explain why...a wheel with a better offset would be better but obviously costs a hell of more.
Also what looks the best is not always the most practical...bring the front wheels out too far for the better looks, and you find the sides if the car will get a hell of a lot dirtier a lot quicker!
