am using photoshop Cs3 and i wanted to know is it possible to make invisiable tables?

what i want to do is make a sort of menu and i want to be able to put

Chips £1.50
Curry £95p

In tables so i could have 3 lots of rows and loads of colums so it looks all tidy when i print it out? is this posible

Off the top of my head im not sure. Illustrator has more alignment tools to distribute objects evenly and quickly. Photoshop I would use the rulers and simply create my individual text items equidistantly. It shouldnt take you too long to set up.
