Photoshop, how easy to use?

Never really used this, but i want to start making my own signatures etc, for basic things and basic sigs, how hard is it to use? Is it straight forward to learn? Are there any 'must read' tutorials?

It depends on how you learn, if you learn by experimenting, experiment, if you learn by reading different things, read.

I'm guessing the 'value for money' side of things isn't worth getting in to because the OP will be 'peculiarly un-phased by its price for no apparent reason' - and lets leave it at that.

Photoshop is easy to understand, difficult to master. Play around with it until you're comfortable with it then read some tutorials for more complex functions.

I didn't really like gimp. Much rather photoshop... which is also free
