Hi guys only me again lol, Just after some advice. When in photoshop i will have two windows open, One im working on (main one) then another where im maybe editing an image to add in to the main project.
Now to move the image or icon from second editing window into the first you just drag it, simple enough, but why does it automatically drop in size?
For example im making a website header and want to import an image/icon into it. When i drag the image/icon from the second window it suddenly goes to a smaller size rather than letting me edit the size to suit me.
Anyone know how i can alter this??

Thanks.

It'll put it in at whatever size it is in the other project. Check your DPI (in canvas size) for both. The only time it'll change its size is when the image you're dragging in is larger: in CS5 it'll then fit it to screen and display the transform controls.

Yea it sounds like one of your windows is magnified to be honest.

Also I wasn't ever aware you could drag/drop (not used the latest version of Photoshop though) - I always had to use the copy layer functionality.

if your first image is 300 ppi and your second is 150 ppi then when you bring the second in to the first it will be half the size

check your image size settings and make sure both are the ppi

Try using the area-selection tool, select the full window of the image you want to drag over, press ctrl+c to copy it, go to the other window, and ctrl-v to paste it, this might work, not entirely sure.
