I need to copy and mirror an image vertically, and make the bottom portion appear as if being reflected in water.

Any ideas for PS plugins and a simple piece of shareware that can do this? I have PS 5.5.

Don't know of any plugings sorry - Does 5.5 have displacement maps or distortion filters? If they do, do it like this;
Create a greyscale psd file of the water. Flip said image that needs to be reflected, go to filter then find displacement map, load greyscale psd of water and that should distort the image to the geometry of the water. Make sure the image is in line with the water at the time. You might then want to fade the edges of the reflection out using either a soft edged eraser at low opacity or layer masks if you have them. If you don't have displacement mapping then do the same above but instead just use distort filters.

Edit, if you don't have either of these then you might get away with just flipping the relfected image and fading out the reflection, it shouldn't stand out too much if the water isn't too turbulent. Also skewing the perspective of the reflection would also greatly help, that's if PS 5.5 has this feature :p
