Help, I'm a complete novice when it comes to Photoshop :D

I've got 2 images, 1 is a background and the other has some logo and text on it.

I want to put the logo image over the background one so that only where there is "white space" on the logo, the background shows through.

I'm guessing it's something to do with layers, but I've tried all the ways I can think of and am stuck.

Thanks

You'll need to change the white bits to transparent bits. Can be done with the magic wand tool or a bit more time consuming, Simply rubbing it out.

Or, You can change the blending options which should work.

If you want, You can upload the files and I'll do it, Or try and learn :).

don't forget you can use layer blending set to multiply to negate that white, it does effect the other colours on the layer but it gives you a rough idea how it will look before you do any more work.
