Hi guys,

something is doing my head in, I could swear there was an automated resize to fill function somewhere but I can't find it... Image processor will resize to fit but is there not an automated version somewhere that will resize to the larger dimension then crop?

I could always record the action but photoshop, or maybe bridge or something does this already right?

Are you just talking about making the image bigger, but leaving the existing portion the same and filling the rest with some colour? If so, just use Image > Canvas Size (Alt+Ctrl+C).

nono, I'm talking about batch shrinking loads of files to correct dimensions, e.g. something that could take 2000 x 500 images and make them 300x300 images (cropping a lot off the left and right obviously).

I have a feeling only Lightroom can do this (incredibly simple) thing but surely i'm missing something in Image Processor?

In PS, just record your action, then use File > Automate > Batch to select the action and the files (if they are the same actions you're using on each one, of course).

It's a fun process to watch, also. :)

^ automate batch - use an action. Like SourChipmunk said.

specify destination and source folders, then select the action and your rolling.
